The transmission in our cars and trucks is probably one of the most neglected things. In my experience, people generally don't like to fix things until they are broken. For a transmission, that could mean the difference of either $100 or $1,500. Just be sure that if you are going to get it serviced, that you go to a place that has a transmission specialist.

I have been thinking a lot about my car lately, and I wanted to make sure that we had the transmissions checked. It's interesting that you should try and stay ahead of your repairs on it to make sure that it doesn't die. Since it's been a while since we had it checked, we will have to take it in soon.

Thank you for mentioning that regular transmission repairs can help you prevent some failures. I can see how this would help the owner to saved money when it comes to big repairs. I would want to know what problems my car has on a regular basis and be able top fix them before they become too big and expensive.
